Add an Event
Rules for adding an event to the calendar:
Please read carefully. *Terms may change at any time*
Our calendar is limited to five events a day. We must limit the type of events. We may change it in the future but at this time these are the rules.
The event must take place in Okeechobee County. However we will allow Buckhead Ridge, Lakeport, Brighton, Lorida and Yeehaw Junction.
All events must be open to the public.
Allowed event types: festivals, markets, workshops, public meetings, celebrations, fundraisers, expos, shows, educational/art classes, luncheons, etc.
Events not allowed: yard sales, sales-only events without a community element, regularly held religious services, private or members only events, musician gigs unless it is associated with an event, recurring team practices or lessons, adult only or inappropriate content, content which is against community standards of social media. We will add to this at our discretion.
When submitting, remember the information provided will be posted directly to the calendar. Make sure it includes: organizer contact, location/address, time, dates, website link, and all information needed. WE WILL NOT EDIT IT TO CORRECT MISTAKES. Check for inaccuracies, grammar, and spelling. If changes need to be made after submission, re-submit with updated details and make a note to delete the previous entry. Allow one business day for corrections to post.
Your event may be posted to social media, however this is not guaranteed unless you are a Community Champion Sponsor. It is at our discretion and variables exist such as time constraints, working with the social media algorithms, etc.
The deadline to be in our monthly newsletter is the 25th of each month. However it will still be on the calendar.
We may reject a submission at our discretion. If the day is filled or if we deem the event not community serving. Events are posted first come first serve. We will let you know if we are not able to post it and the reason.
